When you request a quote from Grinnovative Landscapes, you receive a comprehensive package that covers every step of the installation process, ensuring a long-lasting and beautiful result.
Our comprehensive installation process includes:
- Area clearance: We begin with a thorough clearance of the area where the artificial grass is to be laid.
- Soil removal: At least 4 inches of soil is removed to create adequate space for the sub-base.
- Sub-base preparation: Aggregate (MOT type 1) and sand is laid and compacted, creating a firm and level foundation.
- Weed prevention: Landscape fabric is rolled out on top of the sand to prevent any future weed growth from beneath the artificial turf.
- Turf installation: The artificial grass is carefully rolled out and secured.
- Weigh down turf: Kiln dried sand is brushed in on top of the newly laid turf to weigh it down and give it more of a realistic feel and look.
- Perimeter securing (optional): Treated timber can be used around the perimeter of the prepared area (under the grass), allowing the artificial grass to be securely nailed onto it with galvanised nails for extra stability.
